Ian Garfield McKinley Forbes (JP)

– Managing Director

Backed by over 25 years of experience in Sales & Marketing and Management, Ian has spent the past 12 years  at Sherwin Williams (West Indies) Limited as Managing Director.

Educated at Jamaica College, Mico University, University of the West Indies (Mona) and University of Technology, our Managing Director holds a Teaching Certificate, Certificate in Management Studies and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA).

Ian has received many awards for excellence in his field and his involvement in community, sports and nation-building.

  • Percy Lee Award (Mico University)- 1979
  • Grace Kennedy and Company Limited Sales Representative of the year- 1987, 1988, and 1990.
  • Carlton Alexander Memorial Award for outstanding contribution and service to Jamaica College- 1995.
  • Carreras Sports Foundation Award (Certificate) for Services to Track and Field- 2000.
  • International Olympic Committee (IOC) Award for Contribution to Sports- 2000.
  • University of Technology Distinguished Past Student of the Year Award- 2003.
  • ISSA Award for Services to Boy’s and Girl’s Championships- 2010.

He is the current Chairman of United Way Jamaica, an Executive Council Member of the Jamaica Employers’ Federation, 2nd Vice President of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association, Vice President of the American Chamber Of Commerce (AMCHAM) and of the Jamaica Manufacturer’s Association, and a member of both the Jamaica College Board of Governors and the Salvation Army Advisory Board.

Ian interacts with all social classes and derives satisfaction from helping people through volunteerism. He is a goal-oriented, hands-on individual, who multi-tasks with relative ease.

The diverse nature of operations at Sherwin-Williams induces excitement for Ian as he deals with all stakeholders on a daily basis, facing each challenge as an opportunity to exceed even his own expectations.

Steve A. Virgo

– Financial Controller

Appointed as Financial Controller, Steve joined Sherwin-Williams in April 2005.

His distinguished qualifications are supported by an Executive Masters of Business Administration degree (EMBA) from Florida International University (FIU), professional experience as a certified Chartered Accountant, experience as a member of the Institute of Certified Accountant of Jamaica (CA), and experience as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) who has worked in various business sectors.

He currently serves as the distinguished President of the Kiwanis Club of St. Andrew, Jamaica, and previously served on the board of directors for many years.

Delroy Allman

– Personnel Manager

Delroy joined the Sherwin Williams family in 1988, and has served as the Personnel and Industrial Relations Manager for over 25 years.

Educated at UTECH and at the Administrative Staff College, he holds qualifications in Human Resource Management, General Management and Negotiation Skills.

He has been involved in the Junior Achievement Program at Jose Marti High-School as an Executive Advisor. Additionally, Delroy has served as a Committee Member on the Board of the St. Catherine Parish Library and as a Council Member of the Jamaica Employers’ Federation.

His greatest satisfaction is witnessing and helping to contribute to the growth, development and advancement of employees at Sherwin-Williams and being a part of a dynamic management team.

Lincoln Sharrier

– Operations Manager

A past student of the prestigious Glenmuir High School in Clarendon, and a holder of a BSc Degree in Engineering at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. Lincoln Sharrier joined the Sherwin Williams team as Site (Operations) Manager in April, 2015.

With over 12 years of successes in fast-paced manufacturing and distribution operations both locally and overseas including over 7 years management experience. Lincoln Sharrier brings fiscal acumen to plant operations. He has a track record in the elimination of losses and the management of risks to facilitate companies’ strategic objectives relating to asset capability, cost, quality, production and operational efficiency. He possesses excellent knowledge and experience in Plant Production, warehousing & Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety programs.

He is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, employing strategies to improve efficiencies, eliminate losses and risks, and provide significant value to a company. He has superb organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

Lincoln’s key to business success is to empower persons to think outside the box and hold themselves accountable for company’s results.
